Hartford Primary School Appeal Trust

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Hartford Primary School has built up a strong reputation for the quality of work achieved by its pupils in a well ordered and caring environment. The Appeal Trust aims to support the School by providing additional educational opportunities and resources to all children.

Since the Trust was started in 1991 more than £70,000 has been raised! Through direct help from parents it has undertaken significant projects like the ICT Suite and provided many, many pieces of equipment - including musical instruments, science and PE equipment. Last year the Trust funded a £10,000 purchase of books for all year groups.

The Trustees have recently provided a further £6500 to fund group-reading books in school and agreed to fund a project to equip every classroom with fitted interactive whiteboard and projector. None of this would be possible without the Trust and the donations received.

We are very grateful to the families that contribute today. However as the year 6 children move on we lose some contributors. In order for us to achieve our aims it is very important that we gain new contributors from the new intake. Your help and support would help enable us fund new projects that can further develop and enrich the resources available to our children in the future.

Anyone can donate to the trust - monthly, quarterly, annually or can make one-off donations whenever they can manage. Any donation, however large or small, is very welcome and makes a difference.

Not all our donations come from taxpayers but if you do pay tax “Gift Aid”, a government scheme assisting charities, enables us to claim 28% back from the Inland Revenue – we claimed over £1,400 last year. Gift Aid makes it easy to give and leaves you in complete control. What matters is that Gift Aid provides a regular income.
